Dachshunds are one of my absolute favourite dog breeds, so when Otto's owner responded to one of my model calls asking if I'd like to photograph him, I jumped at the opportunity!

From the moment we met, Otto was an absolute delight to work with. He was friendly, curious, and full of personality, making the entire session so much fun.

One of the things I love most about pet photography is getting to know each animal and capturing what makes them unique. Every pet has their own little quirks, and those are often the moments that become my favourites.

The sweetest moment of the session came when his owner asked him to "shake" and held out her hand. Instead of placing his paw in her hand as expected, Otto gently rested his head there instead. It was such an unexpected and heartwarming moment, and one I'll always remember.

Set amongst the beautiful greenery of the Rose Gardens, Otto's rich black and tan colouring stood out perfectly, creating a gallery full of timeless portraits that truly showcased his adorable personality.
