Birthday sessions that capture this stage of your little one’s life are truly something special and Brax’s sessions are always a highlight.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing Brax’s birthday photos every year since I’ve known this family, and it’s always so much fun. Each year, it’s amazing to look back and compare the images from the year before  seeing how much he’s grown and how his personality continues to shine through.

For this session, we went with a green cupcake, which added such a fun pop of colour and energy to the photos. At every birthday session, kids get to choose how they enjoy their cupcake they can eat it, smash it into their own face, or get mum or dad to do the honours. And without fail, Brax always chooses dad. Honestly, it’s hard to tell who loves that tradition more Brax or his dad.

Captured at the family home, these sessions always feel relaxed, personal, and full of genuine moments. With cake, confetti, balloons, and number props, it’s the perfect way to celebrate and remember this stage of childhood.
