A branding session is all about showcasing you and what you do! Not sure if a branding session is something you want to do? Here’s a look at what we do during a branding session to help you decide if it’s right for you.

Your branding session can take place either at your workplace or a location of your choice. My main suggestion is always to have your session in the space where you work. This brings an authentic element of your environment into your photos.

For example, a recent session I did was for a UGC creator who creates most of her content at home. So I went to her home to capture her branding photos. This means when she uses these images, they truly reflect the content she creates.

For a lot of this blog, I’ll be using examples from this session to give context to what I’m sharing.

When I first arrive at your session location, we’ll chat more about you and the work you do. This helps me make sure we capture everything that represents your brand.

For the session with the UGC creator, I wanted to know where she normally creates her content, where she sits to edit videos, and if she had any products or content she could create or film during our session. Once we discussed everything, we had a clear game plan.

The next step is capturing all the images that showcase your brand, along with a few standard headshot-style images. These are perfect for your website, business cards, and other professional use.

Here’s a more in-depth look at Nita’s session (UGC creator):

We discussed the types of content she creates, where she works, and made a plan.

We started by photographing her filming content for a coffee brand — capturing her in the kitchen making coffee, along with a few shots of her setup (tripod and phone filming her).

We then moved to the couch, where she was working on her laptop with a coffee — showcasing tasks like sending emails to brands, contracts, and planning content.

Next, we captured her filming a few different products she had from brands, showing the kind of work she does when receiving and creating content.

Lastly, we finished with a few more traditional headshots for her portfolio.

During your entire session, we’re focused on capturing everything that showcases YOU and your brand. We shoot, we chat, and we have the best time.
